Oshitari Yuushi

Looks: Oshitari has only grown a few centimeters in height since his days in middle school, and kept the same lanky build. His hair is longer, hitting his shoulders, with bangs that keep falling in his eyes, and after a year spent traveling, he's got a nice tan. And he's still got glasses that he wears 'just for appearances.'

Current Job: Unemployed. Looking for a job in an architectural firm, and he pens trashy romance novels under an assumed name on the side; he's living mainly off a hefty trust fund.

Family/Living Situation: Alone. He has a pair of lovebirds and a pet chinchilla.

History: After graduating from high school, Oshitari dropped tennis - not completely; he still plays occasionally, to keep in shape - and became as serious as he possibly could about his studies. His father wanted Oshitari to follow in his footsteps and Oshitari even started off as a pre-med major, but quickly lost interest in his classes and switched majors halfway through his first year at university. He picked architecture at random, and found the subject interesting enough to keep him engrossed.

He went on to gain a degree in architectural design and, wanting to travel outside of Japan while he could, took up a job offer in England, which gave him the opportunity to improve his English and provided a closer proximity to places of interest than Japan. He spent a year and a half there, making various forays to places in Europe, and managed to find something he thought impossible (although secretly longed for): love.

After dating for a few months, his girlfriend, a fellow architect decided she wanted to move to South America, having found an architectural firm that was willing to hire her on as a junior partner, rather than simple office help, and Oshitari abandoned his job to follow her. He managed to find a job in Brazil, although nowhere near as prestigious as the one he left and nowhere near what Oshitari really wanted. He told himself that as long as his girlfriend was happy, so was he.

During this time, with more spare time on his hands than expected, Oshitari picked up writing, penning a novel that he eventually sent to an editor in Japan under an assumed name; it was eventually published and sold modestly well, although mostly to housewives and office ladies.

Things didn't go too well for them, though; and six months after they moved to Brazil, Oshitari and his girlfriend parted ways, and Oshitari was left heartbroken and living in a cheap hotel in Brazil.

With nothing to keep him in South America and no desire to return to London and his old job, Oshitari traveled the South Seas for a while, until finally his older sister found him in New Zealand and convinced him to return to Japan.
